Things you should know

All information relating to this Prize Draw (including but not limited to how to enter and the nature of the prizes) forms part of these terms and conditions of entry.

^Balance Back Prize Draw Terms & Conditions apply:

  1. Valid from 12:01am Monday 1 June to 11:59pm Sunday 28 June 2026 New Zealand local time (“Prize Draw Period”). Entries received outside this time will be ineligible for entry.  
  2. The entities responsible for this promotion are Columbus Financial Services Limited (Q Mastercard) and Consumer Finance Limited (Q Card) (together the “Promoter”). There is one (1) prize in total to give away (“Prize Draw”). 
  3. One (1) Prize Draw winner will receive a credit equal to the balance of their account as at 11.59pm on 28 June 2026 on their Q Mastercard account or Q Card account, up to a maximum amount of $5,000 (“Prize”).   
  4. An entry into the Prize Draw is automatic every time an eligible purchase is made with Q Mastercard or Q Card during the Prize Draw Period, (which is all purchases excluding cash advances, balance transfers, interest charges, and quasi-cash transactions.) The transaction date and time is determined by when the merchant processes the purchase and is outside of the Promoter’s control and may affect eligibility.  
  5. If a Prize Draw winner is deemed ineligible for any reasons, the Promoter reserves the right to draw a replacement Prize Draw winner. 
  6. The Prize is not negotiable or transferable for cash.  
  7. To be eligible for a Prize, an account must not be in arrears at the time the Prize Draw takes place. 
  8. Any purchases made on Q Mastercard or Q Card during the Prize Draw Period that have been cancelled, refunded, returned, or suspended before the Prize Draw date will not be eligible for entry into the Prize Draw. 
  9. One (1) winner will be drawn at random from all eligible entries from the Prize Draw Period.  
  10.  The Prize Draw will take place at 111 Carlton Gore Rd, Newmarket, Auckland on Friday 3 July 2026.  
  11. The Prize Draw winner will be notified via phone or email by Friday 10 July 2026. If a Prize Draw winner cannot be contacted within 5 business days, Promoter reserves the right to re-draw an alternative Prize winner. 
  12. Acceptance of the Prize is deemed consent for the Promoter to use the Prize Draw winners’ details, first name and photograph, for promotional and media purposes. The Promoter collects and processes personal information in order to run the promotion and offer the Prize and as otherwise set out in our Privacy Policy. 
  13. The Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.  Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. 
  14. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any failure (for whatever reason) to record an entry into the Prize Draw. 
  15. Entry into the Prize Draw and/or accepting the Prize is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions. 
  16. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not responsible or liable for any tax implications that may arise from winning the prize. Independent financial advice should be sought. 
  17. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter shall not be liable for any loss, damage, personal injury whatsoever, including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss, which is suffered or sustained arising out of or in connection with a prize or this Prize Draw. 
  18. Where goods or services are supplied by third parties, the Promoter does not warrant the quality of such goods and/or services or their suitability. However, nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify a consumer’s rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. 
  19. Employees of the Promoter and/or Humm Group Limited are not eligible to enter the Prize Draw. 
  20. All dates and time are in New Zealand local time. 
  21. Q Mastercard & Q Card terms and conditions (which includes any and all relevant privacy notices) apply.

  1. Promotional offer available for new approved customers only, from Q Mastercard applications submitted between 1 May 12:00am to 30 June 2026 11:59pm New Zealand local time (“Offer Period”). Applications received outside the Offer Period will be ineligible.   
  2. Eligible customers who have applied for a Q Mastercard account during the Offer Period, and have been approved and opened an account within 45 days of applying, will have the annual Account Fee ($50) waived for the first 2 years (“Offer”).   
  3. To be eligible to redeem the Offer, the promo code 2YEARSFREE must be entered into the promo field on the first page of the application.     
  4. A minimum card use applies being the use of the Q Mastercard credit card within each monthly statement period during the 2 year promotional period. Use is limited to standard purchases or Long Term Finance purchases and excludes cash advances, balance transfers, interest charges, gambling, crypto and quasi-cash transactions.
  5. If the credit card is not used in any monthly statement period during the promotional period, the annual Account Fee will be charged and continued to be charged in accordance with the Q Mastercard terms and conditions. 
  6. After the second year, the $50 annual Account Fee applies. 
  7. Q Mastercard reserves the right to extend, amend, suspend, or terminate this offer and these terms and conditions at any time without notice.
